Top 100 Blogs To Read In 2007...

While recently roaming the net for my sites address, I came accross something interesting. An article on creditcard.org dated December 8th 2006, with the headline "Bloggers Tell Financial Secrets." It goes on to spotlight Tricia from "Blogging Away Debt," and then shows a list of it's pick for the "Top 100 Blogs To Read In 2007." All of them seem to be personal finance blogs, and they are all nominated for "a national award." Surprisingly I'm one of the blogs on that list...

Honestly, I didn't feel very good about that site though it seems they have legitimate name, CreditCard.org.

I must haave been a little too Lazy. I didn't make the list. I know it doesn't mean much, but it would be kind of cool.

It's linkbait... they come up with this article so that you'll link to them, passing a bit of your link power to the site. The opening style is very much like the opening style used in a NYTimes article Elizabeth Harris when she wrote about BFP a year ago... I don't see much in it honestly.

Yeah, I'm on the list too and I'm not a very powerful or popular blog. It is neat seeing your creation on a top 100 list though

Linkbate huh? Well, I fell for it hook, line and sinker...

I have been following that site every so often ever since I heard Dave Ramsey read a news article on the air about the Lemon Award Nominations. The finalists which are to be named next week according to a PR on their website...I knew since then they were taking nominations from their readers and then voting on the ones that they thought should go in the "top 100."

Still I was surprised that I not only made the list, but was the very 1st blog listed.

As for Tricia, I have seen those comments somewhere before, like another article or something.
